TRIAGE

All pets that enter Tanasbourne Veterinary Emergency will be seen in the order of the severity of their illness or disease. While we appreciate that every owner would like for their pet to be seen as soon as possible, some pets require more immediate attention than others. If your pet has already been assessed but you feel that their condition is becoming  worse or their symptoms are increasing in severity, please let a staff member know.

Once triaged, pets will either be moved into one of 5 exam rooms or taken directly to our treatment area (for treatment and/or to be assessed by one of our doctors). Triage to the treatment area will only be done if we are concerned that their condition may be especially time-sensitive and emergency care may be needed sooner rather than later.

DISCHARGE

Please call ahead to schedule a discharge time for your pet when they are well enough to go home.  

 

A dedicated staff member will meet with you to discuss all medications and answer any questions you may have about their treatment. 

In some cases we may recommend that you follow up with your usual veterinarian for additional testing or treatments if necessary.

PAYMENT

All payments are required at the time of services.

 

If a pet is to be left at the clinic for surgery or hospitalization, we require a deposit be paid prior to you leaving your pet. 

We accept Debit, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. 

We do not have payment plans. If finances are a concern, please look into Scratch Pay or Care Credit. These are short-term lenders for unexpected expenses. Click on the link to start the application process.
